The project brief was that I needed to make a product line made up of at least five objects. They all needed to relate to one another and they had to be my own brand name as well. I named my cosmetic line Enigma Cosmetics because I wanted my packaging to be a little bit confusing, unique, and mysterious. The product name was intended to match the verbal context I created. My project purpose was to create packaging for the products in a gothic makeup line that mimics the look of tattoos or dark art. This would include packaging for an eyeshadow palette, blush, lipstick, loose face powder, and a contour brush. I wanted the fonts used to be a gothic font so I hand-lettered the Enigma logo on the front of the design. The colors chosen were to be mainly black with red and gold. The main materials used were gold foil and black paper to make flourish designs.
